Christina's personal plant-based journey started 18 years ago when she realised eating animal products no longer felt right for her. Her passion for food made her determined to find creative and nutritious ways to make plant-based dishes even tastier. She decided to undertake a holistic nutrition course and subsequently trained at one of London’s leading vegan restaurants, Bubala, where she got to learn even more about flavour and technique.
With that experience under her belt, and a passion for recipe writing, she moved on to set up MOB’s vegan “sister page”, where she grew the social following to +550k in less than two years.
Now branching out with her own Instagram channel, and with a wealth of knowledge about both recipe and content creation, she continues to share her delicious food with her followers - and interspersing these recipes with tips on food waste, seasonal eating and cooking with whole plants.
This year Christina released her debut book, Big Veg Energy: Plant-based just got better. 100 simple, tasty and secretly healthy recipes, with flavour in every bite. Expect nourishing, vibrant dishes - including Spicy Mushroom Skewers with Peanut Lime Sauce, Sweet Potatoes with Tahini Butter Chickpeas, Pulled Leeks with Pistachio Cream and Peanut Butter Cherry Jam Semifreddo - as well as extra features on key ingredients, debunking vegan myths and tips on saving money and storing produce to keep it fresh for longer.
Christina believes that eating healthily doesn’t need to be restrictive or bland - but that with the right ingredients, understanding and creativity, anyone can cook exciting, accessible and nourishing food at home.
Abundance is key, portion sizes are generous and joy is always plentiful.
