Dr Guddi Singh

Dr Guddi Singh is a neurodevelopmental and social paediatrician, public health researcher and broadcaster whose work explores child health inequalities and the social determinants of health. She combines frontline NHS practice with academic research at King’s College London, is the founder of WHAM (the Wellbeing and Health Action Movement), and leads the award-finalist Powering Up project - work that has seen her named a Global Top 30 Improver by the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare.

Guddi is known for presenter-led work across the BBC and Channel 4, including fronting BBC Two’s Babies: Their Wonderful World and Your Body Uncovered, and the award-winning BBC One documentary Why Is Covid Killing People of Colour? She also co-hosted two BBC Two Horizon coronavirus specials and presented Channel 4’s How to Avoid a Second Wave, bringing clear, compassionate storytelling to the ethics and politics of healthcare. In 2025, she created and presented the BBC Radio 4 series Three Ages of Child, a revealing portrait of children’s health in Britain today.

Beyond broadcast, Guddi brings the same interdisciplinary lens to writing, audio and live events. She has written extensively - including for The Guardian - on public health care, COVID-19, health inequality, air pollution, arts in health and child poverty, and contributes regularly to radio and podcasts. She also chairs live events and intellectual debates, and interviews best-selling authors for the Intelligence Squared podcast.
